Things I've been trying at Sephora and sighing wistfully over because they are indeed too much of a luxury for me right now:
1. Laura Mercier Khol Eye Pencil in Black Violet, $19 - Yes, I've mentioned it again. I like all off-black eyeliners, even though they don't all necessarily look good on me. This one looks like it will, however. Although I have the potential to look like a drag queen, I take a little colored eyeliner quite well, and this looks to be a happy medium between dark blues (which are too cool for me), green (very pretty, but a bit mossy at times), and the classic black (which is great otherwise but sometimes a little too stark).
2. Vincent Longo Lipstain Lipstick SPF 15 in Cherry & Chica Mokita, $23
3. Vincent Longo Wet Pearl Lipstick SPF 15 in Mocha Sheen, $23 - I'm salivating over this, I swear. If I wear it, you will want to kiss me.
4. Stila Silk Shimmer Gloss in Kitten, $22 - It's compensation for the fact that the eyeshadow in Kitten doesn't suit me. Plus, it really is very silky and not at all sticky.
5. Dior Diorshow Mascara, $24 - My baby cousin (she is still a baby even though she just graduated HS!) made me try hers and I couldn't stop turning sideways to look at my own lashes. Overrated, perhaps. But I've never been into mascara, and I was sold on this.
6. Clinique Almost Powder SPF 15, $22.50 - It supposedly gives you some sort of natural, airbrushed coverage. I could use that.
7. NARS Lip Gloss/Lip Stain Duo in Sandpiper/Daredevil in, $28 - Great shimmery beige that does not make you look dead or like a futuristic ghost - comes paired with a deeper burgundy stain.
8. NARS Lip Gloss in Sandpiper, $24 - Just the gloss from above. Great for layering over practically everything. It added another dimension to the Mocha Sheer without going overboard. Maybe I will buy this for myself as a housewarming present when I have a house (er, apartment...perhaps even just room) to warm.
9. Philosophy The Supernatural Lipgloss in Mauve & Soft Pink, $15 - I love the tube and the name and it looks like the perfect everyday lip gloss. I'm obsessed with finding the perfect Everyday Everything. I haven't tried this yet though. I just like the idea of it :)
10. NARS Blush in Taos, $25 - Alas, I have never understood the Orgasm craze. Sania brushed this on my cheeks in a tizzy with a brush magically drawn from her purse, and indeed, I looked so cute blushing that it actually might've made me blush.
11. Vincent Longo Duo Eye Pencil, $26 - I just saw these online and already have to have them. They come in the most wonderful color combinations: Jet Black/Brown Black, London Glimmer/Jet Black (opalescent black shimmer and matte black), Sabine/Mystic (another awesome variation on black), Cabaret/Urban Nights (2 rich burgundy/wine colors), and more. A wonderful 2-in-1 that may just well be worth it.
12. Laura Mercier Lip Colour-Shimmer in Amaretto, $22 - A very pretty, classic pinkish/ brownish/bronze that doesn't go on too dark and blends in really well.
13. Hourglass Calligraphy Liquid Eye Liner, $32 - Like Sania, I'm also a sucker for pretty packaging. This is sooooooo pretty. And the actual liner is soooo pretty. Just about one of the prettiest things you can get for...$32. Sigh.
